chapter 1 - islam origins ( important as most people who attacked were from islam)

Now let's have a little bit more of an introduction to the types of notes, like you will see some questions, some basic facts, and straightforward history notes in a related manner. You will understand that as we move forward.

let's begin..

Father of History - Herodotus ( he wrote a book Historica)

Now, if you have ever heard anything about medieval you must understand that medieval indian history is nothing but invasions of Turkish, Afghan, and multiple tribes gaining a stronghold west of the indian subcontinent.

reasons for successful invasions by these people -

Political fragmentation - there was no single powerful ruler, but multiple rulers here and there who were not at all loyal or good to each other.

Meanwhile, Islam was gaining a stronghold as a religion in the Middle East.

India was a wealthy and prosperous nation

Reasons for invasions

allah - arbi word

khuda - parsi or persian word

570 - Mohammed's birth

610 - 622 - mohd spreads teachings of gabriel or gibrael and started the Islam religion

went to madina , started hijara calender

he died in 632

after his death khalifa post was started ( to propagate Islam)

As usually happens after mohammed's death his followers got started two different schools of islams

1.shiya - they believed Mohammed ali ahmed to be first khalifa

2.sunni - abu bakr ( first khalifa for them) then umar and then usman

5 conditions to be a Muslim

1.haz

2.five times namaz

3.roza

4.zakat - a kind of tax ( it was to maintain religious activities and stuff)

5.kalma ( spiritual words and stuff)
